Eligibility is set by the NHS each season and generally includes people aged 65 and over, adults aged 18–64 with certain long-term health conditions, pregnant women, care home residents, carers, and people living with someone who has a weakened immune system.

Who’s eligible for NHS COVID-19?

Typically people aged 75 and over, those aged 6 months to 74 with a weakened immune system due to a health condition or treatment, and residents of care homes for older adults.

Common questions

Flu & COVID-19 vaccination FAQs

Can I have the flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same time?
In many cases yes, and it’s often convenient to do both in one visit. Our pharmacist will confirm what’s appropriate for you when you book or arrive.
What are the common side effects?
Most people have no more than a sore arm for a day or two. Some experience mild tiredness, headache, aching muscles or a slight temperature, which usually settles within a couple of days. Serious reactions are rare, and you’ll be advised on what to watch for before you leave.
Do you offer NHS RSV vaccinations?
No — we don’t currently offer NHS RSV vaccination. If you’re eligible, please contact your GP surgery or check the NHS website for local availability.
Can I pay privately if I’m eligible on the NHS?
You can, but there’s usually no need — if you’re eligible, the NHS vaccination is free. It’s worth checking your eligibility through the NHS booking service first.
How do I book?
NHS appointments go through the NHS vaccination booking service — enter postcode TQ13 7QD to find us. Private flu and COVID-19 jabs are phone only, on 01364 652222, subject to availability.
